Abstract

1. The adsorption of hexenes on CaA and NaX synthetic zeolites is described satisfactorily by the equations derived for the theory of spatial occupation of micropores. 2. NaX synthetic zeolites sorb all n-hexenes equally well, irrespective of the structure of these hydrocarbons, whereas CaA zeolites display a molecular sieve effect with respect to the cis and trans isomers of n-hexenes with internal double bonds.
