Abstract
1. We have studied the adsorption of methanol at 20° on aluminum-chromium-potassium catalysts with K2O content from 0.05 to 3.0 weight %. Change in K2O content does not notably affect the monolayer capacity of methanol nor the amount of its chemisorption. 2. Chemisorption of methanol occurs from the physically adsorbed layer. The amount of chemisorption increases with increasing contact time.
