Abstract
The specific adsorption of Cl − ions on mercury from methanol—lithium-chloride and ethanol—hydrogen-chloride systems has been investigated at 25°C using the capacitance bridge method with a dropping mercury electrode and the electrocapillary method. The results are described quantitatively in terms of the Parsons thermodynamic analysis.
