Abstract

Abstract Difficulties encountered when using pure aqueous mobile phases in ion pair reversed phase liquid chromatography are described. The results presented in this paper show the influence of the structure and wettability of the stationary phase surface on the adsorption of an anionic surfactant (sodium octyl sulfate).
