Abstract

This article attempts to survey the field of digital counseling, which is currently undergoing major changes, from a perspective related to the addressee. For this purpose, a brief historical outline of digital counseling in the German-speaking world is sketched, an overview of empirical findings on addressees and addressing is presented, and in an outlook, addresseespecific challenges in the context of digital counseling are formulated based on a heuristic for understanding digital counseling practices.
