Abstract

<p indent=0mm>The sympatheticoadreno-medullary system plays a critical role in regulating cardiovascular activity, and adrenergic receptors are the gateway to this role. Adrenergic receptors are representative receptors of the G protein-coupled receptor family and mediate important physiological signaling. The abnormality of the adrenergic receptor signaling system is the main mechanism leading to many cardiovascular diseases, so it is also the main target of clinical drug. In this review, we summarize the discovery of adrenergic receptors as well as their research progress, and review the relationship between the adrenergic receptor signal transduction and cardiovascular diseases. It provides a theoretical basis for the further study of adrenergic receptors and the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
