Abstract

The study is mainly aiming to study Adoption of some Ideas and techniques Related of Conservation of Irrigation Water Between Farmers in Villages Ebiar and Segin El-koom in Gharbia governorate, this will be achieved through the following objectives: Studying some characteristics of the researched farmers. studying perception of threats related of conservation of irrigation water. studying adoption of some ideas and techniques related of conservation of irrigation water. identifying the variables Affecting with perception of threats related of conservation of irrigation water. identifying the variables Affecting with adoption of some ideas and techniques related of conservation of irrigation water. Data was collected using a questionnaire through personal interview for a random sample of 150 in Villages Ebiar and Segin El-koom in Gharbia governorate, the study used number of statistical methods including percentages, means, frequencies, standard deviation, coefficient of variation, simple correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The most important results are summarized as follows: About (21.3%) of the variance in perception of threats related of conservation of irrigation water can be explained by (3) independent variables Towards agricultural extension (15.9%), Opinion leadership (3.2%), and Educational level (2.2%). About (55%) of the variance in adoption of some ideas related of conservation of irrigation water can be explained by (6) independent variables farmers perception of threats related of conservation of irrigation water (39%), attitude Towards agricultural extension (6.7%), Dispersion of agricultural land tenure (2.9%), Number of Family Members (2.7%), agricultural land tenure (2.2%), and agriculture information sources (1.5%).
