Abstract
Wendell Ricketts is a writer vving in San Francisco. Formerly the Manuscript Editor of the Journal ofHornosemaliry, he has previously published articles about foster care and adoption, homophobia, and lesbian and gay youth. Roberta Achtenberg has been the Directing Attorney of the National Center for Lesbian Rights since 1984. She has published and taught extensively in the areas of civil rights, reproductive issues, and lesbian and gay family law.
