Abstract

Studies have shown that the existential problem in our Nigerian legal system is the overburdened state of our judiciary. Since 1958 when AI was discovered, there has been an increased demand for Artificial Intelligence in diverse industries and sectors of national economies. These machines have been programmed not only to outsmart the human intellect but to become the world’s leading help. So, why then is it yet to be incorporated into our administration of justice system? This quantitative research paper sets out to identify the relevance of AI to the Nigerian legal industry with analogies to the global clime and reaches a compromise that there is need to adopt Artificial Intelligence into the legal sector.
