Abstract

Introduction Holocaust survivor families include those members who either directly or indirectly experienced the traumatic impact of Hitler's “Final Solution.” This includes not only those who lived through concentration or work camps, ghettos, or were in hiding, but also those who were displaced to other countries. All were seeking to avoid Nazi persecution. Holocaust survivor families include also the next generation of children who have experienced the impact of the Holocaust indirectly through their parents.1
