Abstract

In the active distribution network (ADN) planning, the stochastic volatility of power output of renewable distributed generation (RDG) and the effect of demand-side response (DR) on the ADN planning should be fully considered. In this paper, green additional electricity price (GAEP), a kind of new DR measure is proposed to promote the accommodation of RDG, and it is used in an ADN operation strategy, in which the collaborative optimization of RDG and GAEP is considered comprehensively. Then, an ADN multi-objective planning model considering collaborative optimization of RDG and GAEP is proposed based on the ADN planning framework of joint planning-operation optimization. This multi-objective planning model establishes the annual cost of construction and operation, RDG output curtailment, carbon dioxide emissions as optimization targets, and establishes network constraints, the amount of load reduction, etc. as constraints. In view of stochastic volatility of RDG output, the deviation of RDG actual output relative to predictive output is formulated using probability distribution. Simulation results of 34-nodes ADN show that the model can fully consider the interaction between users and RDG, promote the accommodation of RDG with uncertainty, reduce network operation costs (or the total costs of construction and operation), and improve the asset utilization and economic benefits of distribution network.
