Abstract
予防接種の安全性は高いが，副反応はゼロではない．成人に安全に肺炎球菌ワクチンを接種するにあたり，定期接種・任意接種の接種要件を理解し，不適当者・要注意者を見極めることが重要である．歴史的経緯から接種経路についても注意が必要である．副反応・有害事象の考え方と対処法，および予防接種後副反応報告の義務化とその概要，健康被害救済制度についても理解しておく必要がある．
