Abstract
Knowledge of regulatory mechanisms governing early follicle growth and atresia are complex and remain unclear. Since hCG promotes atresia of small pre-antral follicles, we investigated the feasibility of using rec-hCG to foster atresia of less competent follicle cohorts present at menstruation in women with exuberant ovarian reserve, before initiating a GnRH antagonist protocol for OI.
