Abstract
This article intends to expand the discussion about the diagnoses and prognoses assumed to overcome the systemic crisis of contemporary capitalism, reflecting on the influences of the measures adopted, since the 1970s, that redefined the standards of capitalism management, until the repercussions in this days considering the challenges and perspectives imposed by Covid-19 Pandemic. Taking as a theoretical and methodological basis the studies developed by the field of political administration, that defends the central role that the field of knowledge and administrative practices assumes in this discussion, proposes to reinterpret the assumptions defended by neoliberal currents. These reflections allowed us to conclude that the political administration that emerges in that context, characterized by the strong decentralization of State actions and the consequent expansion of the interests of the financial market, has prevented the public power to preserve its historical role as guarantor / financier of the economic recovery in moments of crisis, particularly in forwarding possible solutions to the crises caused by the Covid-19.
