Abstract

A growing body of research supports the power of Individual Psychology, with its ethical, compassionate, and systemic approach. There is pure genius in Individual Psychology’s comprehension of our human need to belong, and, through contribution and cooperation within communities of social equals, to find significance in our belonging. When that theory and practice wisdom inform how to lead and manage democratically, they promote organizational health, well-being, and productivity. Unfortunately, there is little direct research evidence for the effectiveness of Individual Psychology, and most people have never heard of Adler or Dreikurs. Therefore, organizational consultants need to link Individual Psychology insights to theories and research familiar to their clients, as well as to growing bodies of research that provide evidence or consilience across related disciplines.
