Abstract
Adjustable robust economic dispatch has been studied to consider uncertainties of renewable energy and AGC control in operation of power system. This paper proposes practical supplements for theoretical dispatch model based on existing research to facilitate application of robust dispatch algorithm. We also develop evaluation framework to simulate the real-time control of power system in random scenario of renewable generation after economic dispatch. The adjustable robust economic dispatch and accompanying evaluation algorithm are implemented and applied in real world power system. Case study demonstrates that robust dispatch is more cost-efficient under fluctuations of renewable generation and suitable for power system with high penetration rate of renewable energy.
