Abstract
AbstractIn this paper the concepts of partitioned quasi‐Newton methods are applied to adjoint Broyden updates. Consequently a corresponding partitioned adjoint Broyden update is presented and local convergence results are given. Numerical results compare the partitioned adjoint Broyden update methods to the corresponding unpartitioned quasi‐Newton method and to Newton's method for nonlinear equations.
