Abstract

By the reaction of phosphorus oxychloride and thiophosphoryl chloride with dihydroxy phenols and some bisphenols, a number of synthetic adhesives have been prepared containing C-O-P linkages and their adhesives properties on duraluminium and steel determined. A probable mechanism for their formation is also discussed.
