Abstract
Acrylic and cyanoacrylate adhesives were evaluated for their suitability in the clinical application of sensor-type devices to intact skin. The animal model was beagle dog skin in both wet and dry environmental conditions. A single acrylic adhesive (3M 1514) and two cyanoacrylates (Eastman 910 and MBR 4197) were tested. The acrylic adhesive was adequate under dry conditions while the cyanoacrylate 3M MBR 4197 exhibited more adequate adhesion qualities under wet conditions.
