Abstract

The effect of dopamine on snail (Helix pomatia) nervous tissue adenosine 3′, 5′-monophosphate content was examined. The results show support for the idea that the dopamine receptors in the snail nervous system involve adenylate cyclase. It is suggested that these are the dopamine excitatory receptors rather than the inhibitory ones.
