Abstract

Abstract A series of cases is described where delay and difficulty were encountered in the diagnosis of pain suggestive of a biliary origin. In such circumstances the most probable diagnosis is adenomyomatosis of the gall-bladder which can usually be diagnosed by careful scrutiny of the periphery of the organ on a good cholecystogram. Treatment is by cholecystectomy.
