Abstract
Adenoma-like adenocarcinoma is a new subtype of invasive adenocarcinoma of the colon recognised in the new 5th edition World Health Organization (WHO) classification of tumours, digestive system tumours. In our case, we describe a 76-year-old woman who was found to have a polyp in the hepatic flexure. She underwent piecemeal polyp resection which showed tubulovillous adenoma with low grade dysplasia. Subsequent endoscopy showed a recurrence of the polyp within a diverticulum. She was then referred to the surgical team for right hemicolectomy for endoscopically irresectable polyp.
