Adducts of coordination compounds-XIII. Nitrates, hydrogen and silver dinitrates, and polysilver nitrates of trans-dihalotetrakispyridinerhodium(III) and iridium(III) ions

Abstract

The synthesis and characterization, chiefly as salts of the anions [X(ONO 2) 2] − (X = H + or Ag +) (by analysis, X-ray powder photography, vibrational spectra and thermogravimetry) of adducts of the nitrates trans-[M(L) 4X 2](NO 3) (M =Rh or Ir; L = pyridine, perdeuteriopyridine or 4-methylpyridine; X = Cl or Br) with hydrogen nitrate and silver nitrate are described.
