Abstract

The results of momentum and longitudinal rapidity of multiparticles in 50 GeV/c π - -Em Collision have been obtained from the emulsion stack exposed under the pulsed magnetic field. The normalized single particle rapidity distribution R Em ( Y ) has been compared with the predictions of energy flux cascade model, two phase model, hydrodynamical model, eikonal model and the additive quark model. The additive quark model explains the data and particularly the `leading particle attenuation-effect' very satisfactorily. With the help of AQM, a nuclear-scaling between the normalized mean multiplicity of created particles and the effective mean number of collisions <ν A > has been proposed.
