Abstract

This paper presents the additive manufacturing process in the manufacture of micro fluidic devices. In a growth scenario of point of care diagnosis and miniaturization of chemical analysis systems is necessary the implementation and analysis of new manufacturing processes of micro fluidic devices. A proposal for additive manufacturing of a Lab on a Chip prototype was done. Preliminary tests concerning dimensional control and real application were performed with the prototype and showed the benefits and limitations of the three dimensional printing application.
