Abstract

Nineteen species and one form of lichens are reported as new records for Alberta. One species, Lecidea intrudens Magn., is reported for the first time from North America. The lichens listed below are new to Alberta and were collected during an ecological study of alpine vegetation in Snow Creek Valley, Banff National Park. The collection area is in the Front Ranges of the Rocky Mountains, northwest of Banff, and south of the divide of the headwaters of the Red Deer River system.
