Abstract

The following article provides a number of additions and corrections to Marc A. Hight's edition of the Correspondence of George Berkeley (1685-1753), the philosopher and Bishop of Cloyne. The article prints two letters from Berkeley and four letters to Berkeley, reports the location of nine manuscripts of letters which Hight published from derivative sources, and concludes with a list of previously unnoticed apocrypha, Berkeleiana and manuscript surrogates. The article separately alleges that a Berkeley manuscript in the Morgan Library and Museum, New York was removed from Fulham or Lambeth Palace between 1915 and 1960.
