Abstract
Early and intensive behavioral intervention (EIBI) has proven to be a successful treatment of symptoms related to autism spectrum disorder (ASD); however, the effectiveness of the treatment has been found to differ between individuals. As ASD is a highly heterogeneous disorder, a treatment of one size fits all is highly unlikely. This chapter provides insight to the variants associated with EIBI that impact the treatment’s effectiveness. There is also discussion of how these variants predict treatment outcome.
