Abstract

Objective: to determine whether patients receiving emergency department (ED) treatment for presumptive migraine headache experienced greater pain relief and perceived headache resolution when treated post- discharge with oral secobarbital versus placebo. Setting: urban ED with 70,000 yearly visits.
