Abstract

This review examines the chromium(II)-mediated coupling reaction of carbonyl compounds with unsaturated substrates. The so-called Nozaki-Hiyama reaction has become an useful and versatile tool in organic synthesis. Applications to several natural product syntheses have also demonstrated its effectiveness. 1.
