Abstract
Summary The integration of environmental education into business and management training presents serious difficulties. At the same time, there are persuasive reasons to attempt it. An approach is proposed which respects the concerns of both disciplines, while making environmental education for sustainability its central process. Appropriate frameworks for action‐based learning and evaluation of outcomes are drawn from the literature of environmental education and environmental management. Examples of possible applications of the proposed model are discussed, with reference to both formal and informal educational sectors.
