Abstract

ABSTRACT This article outlines the development of a tool designed to enhance Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) endeavours: the Utrecht Roadmap for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (UR-SoTL). Integral to this tool is the incorporation of the Context-Intervention-Mechanism-Outcome (CIMO) logic model, offering a nuanced analysis of the teaching and learning context within the conventional SoTL steps. The CIMO-logic model aims to guide both novice and experienced SoTL practitioners in scrutinizing their teaching activities within the framework of generative learning processes described in relevant literature. This approach enables the scholarly analysis that directs SoTL-projects towards formulating well-grounded and focused research questions and plan-of-approaches.
