Abstract

The vibration of hoop truss structure can be attenuated effectively through the voice coil actuator (VCA) under an adaptive LMS-based feedback strategy. The governing equations of the hoop truss with voice coil actuator are obtained using finite element method. The LMS-based feedback control theory is introduced and a simulation on adaptive vibration control of hoop truss structure with voice coil is done under the LMS-based feedback control strategy. The results of the simulation indicate that adaptive LMS-based feedback control using VCA is a viable control mean.
