Abstract

The problem of synchronizing discrete chaotic systems is considered. The input-output linearization method is first used to linearize the two discrete systems exactly, and then a parameter adaptive algorithm is used to tune the disturbed parameters. By combining the two methods, the outputs of the two systems can be synchronized. Computer simulation with the Henon system showed the effectiveness of the proposed method, and under some conditions, the method presented can be extended to high dimension discrete chaotic systems. Global stability can be obtained by the controller designed in the paper, and because of the use of an adaptive algorithm, the control system is robust to the uncertain disturbance of parameters.
