Abstract

This paper describes a fault tolerant control (FTC) system consisting of a fault detection and isolation (FDI) scheme and a reconfigurable control (RC) strategy slying on the use of an adaptive predictive controller. The lain goal is to allow that a certain plant continues to work ven under the occurrence of actuator or sensor faults. The considered faults are additive and of single occurrence, corresponding to abrupt transitions. The FTC system is applied to a continuous non-linear physical based model if super-heated steam temperature in an industrial boiler, imulation results are presented.
