Abstract

The paper presents the results of numerical simulation of focusing a laser beam with the non-diffraction angular divergence through the turbulent atmosphere using the adaptive optical system. The operation of the adaptive optical system is based on the phase conjugation principle. The adaptive phase correction of the outgoing laser and reference beams is assumed to be imperfect. The numerical calculations of the laser beam propagation to a remote receiver through the turbulent atmosphere under conditions of imperfect phase conjugation have been carried out. It is found that <i>St</i>=<i>StR·StL</i>, where <i>St</i> is the Strehl ratio for the laser beam at the receiver, <i>StR</i> and <i>StL</i> are the Strehl ratios for reference and outgoing laser beams, respectively. This formula is true for <i>St</i>>0.03.
