Abstract

Simple adaptive integrated system has been designed for thermal imaging. Depending on the real situation of the atmospheric channels, the appropriate operating spectral infrared band is chosen for efficient thermal imaging processes. The measured data of the atmospheric channel (atmospheric temperature, relative humidity, precipitation, visibility range, aerosol size distribution and number density,... etc.) are supplied to a special purpose computer, where the transmittance of the channel is estimated and consequently the correct decision is taken. The designed software has been checked, and reliable results have been obtained.
