Abstract

An adaptive temperature and humidity nonlinear control method is introduced to deal with unknown humidity source intensity and heat load for an air-handling unit (AHU). The serial-parallel estimation model is used to prevent the offset of the equilibrium point. By comparing with the linearization technique and fuzzy logics, an adaptive nonlinear controller is designed directly, which avoids the linearization of the system model and collapse of the calculation. With the stability analysis and simulation results comparison, it is verified that the control precision of the designed controller is higher and the tracking performance is better.
