Abstract
Engine mounting should isolate the unevenness of road surface and the vibration movement, which is caused by engine excitation. At the same time it should provide a firm connection between engine and carriage. With the solution, namely, amplitude dependant stiffness and damping, a new adaptive elastomeric mount has been developed. This new mount clearly improves the noise- and vibration comfort in vehicle.
