Abstract
Control of distillation column as a two inputs-two outputs system is presented. The interactions between control loops are suppressed by decoupling having a compensator placed ahead of the system. Several decoupling methods of this type are compared. The pole placement algorithm in adaptive version is then used for both simple control loops.
