Abstract
As more and more plug-in electric vehicles(EVs) are connected 'to the power grid, EVs have also become one of the most widely used flexible loads. They will take an important part in the autonomous power systems and will have a large impact in the power frequency fluctuations. In this paper, considering the uncertainty of family EVs travel law and the maintenance of the state of charge(SoC) of the EVs’ power battery, an adaptive comprehensive control strategy of EV cluster participating in the primary frequency control(PFR) of the power grid is investigated, which applies fuzzy control and variable coefficient droop control. The strategy is applied to a single area primary frequency modulation model with EVs. Finally, simulations are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed comprehensive control strategy.
