Abstract

This paper derives new results on the adaptive control and synchronization design for the Lu-Xiao chaotic system (2012) with unknown parameters. First, adaptive control is designed to stabilize the Lu-Xiao chaotic system to its unstable equilibrium at the origin. Then adaptive synchronization is designed to achieve global chaos synchronization of identical Lu-Xiao chaotic systems with unknown parameters. The adaptive control and synchronization results derived in this paper have been established using Lyapunov stability theory. Numerical simulations are given to validate and depict the effectiveness of the adaptive control and synchronization laws derived in this paper for the Lu-Xiao chaotic system.KeywordsAdaptive ControllerChaotic SystemsSynchronization DesignAdaptive SynchronizationLyapunov Stability TheoryThese keywords were added by machine and not by the authors. This process is experimental and the keywords may be updated as the learning algorithm improves.
