Abstract

This paper considers the problem of applying adaptive linearizing control schemes to non-minimum phase bioprocesses. Two control algorithms are proposed. The first one is a dynamic feedback controller which is indeed a continuous-time extension of generalized minimum variance control to non-linear bioreactors. The second control algorithm is an adaptive linearizing controller design based on a minimum phase reduced- order dynamical model of the process. The performance of the both controllers is illustrated by simulation.
