Abstract

It is shown that the criterion of the maximum sharpness applied in incoherent adaptive optics can be used for compensation of random phase distortions in synthetic-aperture radars under the condition of effective range averaging of the sharpness function. Theoretical validation is confirmed by the results of simulation.
