Abstract

In this letter, we propose dictionary learning (DL) algorithm to solve the hybrid beamforming of millimeter-wave (mmWave) line-of-sight (LoS) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO), which is modeled by Ray-tracing principal. Additionally, the number of transmitted data streams is adaptively adjusted by the effective degree of freedom (EDoF). The numerical simulation shows that the performance of hybrid beamforming based on the proposed algorithm can approach the optimal performance of full digital beamforming. Moreover, the adaptive hybrid beamforming of mmWave LoS MIMO can achieve the maximum spectral efficiency regardless of any number of transmitted data streams.
