Abstract
The wearing test by Dorry is described in BS 812, Chapter 3, issued in 1975. This method is intended for the determination of the surface wear of crushed stone grains tightly fixed. The wear is caused by the friction between the grains, the metal disc and quartz sand. The test pieces produced from crushed stone grains are of sizes 92×54 mm, i.e. the surface exposed to wear amounts to 50 cm2.
