Abstract

In 2007 the American Dietetic Association's (ADA's) Board of Directors appointed the Nutrition Informatics Work Group to examine the state of nutrition informatics across the practice of dietetics. As part of that effort, the work group was asked to design and administer a survey to ADA members to determine the extent of member utilization of technology for creation, retrieval, analysis, and sharing of information. This article summarizes survey methodology, survey findings, and implications for future ADA initiatives.
