Abstract

The aereal parts of Montanoa tomentosa subsp. tomentosa afforded, in addition to the known flavone salvigenin, and the sesquiterpene lactones zoapatanolides A, C, D and pumilin, two new acyclic diterpenes, zoapatols A and B as well as a new guaianolide, zoapatanolide F. The structures were established by spectroscopic methods and some chemical transformations.
