Abstract
Macular edema is a common visual threatening complication in patients with diabetic retinopathy and retinal vein occlusion. The injection of intravitreal drugs, such as anti-vascular endothelial growth factor (anti-VEGF) and corticosteroids, revolutionized the treatment of these diseases.
