Abstract

THE occurrence of acute rheumatic fever during pregnancy has seldom been reported, and various authors are in agreement that it is a rare entity.1 2 3 4 I recently had the opportunity to care for a patient with acute rheumatic fever, rheumatic carditis and marked congestive heart failure complicating pregnancy.
